Our good friends Mike and Therese just got back from a three month trip to Africa. They had incredible adventures which are shared and wonderfully written about in their blog "From the Slopes of Mt Elgon".I thought I might share them here so more people can enjoy them.

ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind words. I can't tell you how many times I said to myself (or to Therese) "Cimmons would love this!" In fact the thought of you present for many of these adventures (particularly the unplanned and uncomfortable ones) encouraged me to actively enjoy them, rather than simply tolerate their ambushed invasion into my preconceived plan. You have helped teach me how important it is let go of plans and detach from outcomes. It allows me to be more fully present and enjoy, or in particularly bad cases, accept, my reality. Thanks buddy!
